New Ownership Transition
Dear Loyal Patients,
I would like to take this opportunity to announce that Dr. James Yoo will be taking over my optometry practice as of January 19th, 2024. I am retiring as a full-time optometrist, however, I will continue working for a period of time during the transition period. I am leaving the practice in very competent hands. Dr. Yoo’s ability and knowledge will satisfy all your eye care needs and I have personally instructed him on the important aspects that I hope have made this practice unique and well appreciated by my patients.
Dr. Yoo’s higher education began at UC Irvine where he received a Bachelor of Science in 2001. After developing a passion for optometry during his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree at the esteemed SCCO in Yorba Linda, CA, and has been working as an optometrist ever since.
For the past 18 years, Dr. Yoo has worked in various locations and optometric settings all over Southern California. He found a home in Ventura County with his wife and 9 years ago opened an optometry practice together with his wife. Since then he has taken over a sublease in Camarillo and transitioned into the owner of an established practice in Oxnard, CA.
Dr. Yoo will be residing with his wife, Dr. Sarah Lee (who is also an optometrist) in Newbury Park, CA. Dr. Yoo speaks English, Spanish, and Korean. For fun, Dr. Yoo hikes, runs, does yoga with Sarah, and loves playing basketball (even though he says he is getting slower as he ages)!
I’m happy to say that the same support staff you are so familiar with will be available to take care of your needs. If you would like to make an appointment, simply call the same telephone number (805) 968-3937. The new name of the practice will be Goleta Vision and Optometry, but the DBA will remain Hollister Optometric Center. You can also continue using the same website www.visionsource-hollisteroptometric.com.
In closing, let me express my deep appreciation for your years of loyalty, patronage, support and friendship. It has been a pleasure to be your optometrist and I want to wish you much happiness and good health for the years ahead.
Sincerely,
